Young People
At Waihi Baptist we offer programs for all ages and these are some to get involved with.
Light House Kids
Lighthouse Kids is our Sunday program for primary-aged children, running during the morning service. Each week includes Bible stories, games, and creative activities that help children learn about God in a fun, safe, and caring environment. It’s a great place for kids to make friends, and discover how much Jesus loves them.
Waihi Baptist Youth
WBY is our youth group for students in Years 7–13, meeting Wednesday nights during the school term from 6:30–8:00pm. Each week includes games, time together, supper, and opportunities to explore the Christian faith. It’s a great place to make friends, grow in confidence, and ask big questions about life and faith.
Young Adults
Young Adults is a welcoming space for those finishing school and into their 20’s to connect, grow in faith, and build strong friendships together. We meet Thursday nights to spend time in conversation, Bible study, prayer, and encouragement as we learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.

What time is the service?

Our Sunday service starts at 10am and usually runs for about 75–90 minutes. We start with worship, prayer, then a message.

Do I need to be Christian to come?
Not at all, everyone is welcome at Waihi Baptist Church. Whether you believe, or are unsure, or just curious.
What happens when I arrive for the first time?

You’ll be greeted by friendly people who can help you find the main room, kids areas, or answer any questions.
Is there something for kids?

Yes! We usually have kids programs during the service with fun activities and teachings.
