Waihi Baptist Youth
WBY is our youth group for students in Years 7–13, meeting Wednesday nights during the school term from 6:30–8:00pm.
Our youth group is a place where young people can connect, have fun, and grow in their faith together. Each week includes games, time to hang out, supper, and a short message or discussion that helps explore the Christian faith in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
WBY is a space where you can build strong friendships, ask real questions about life and faith, and grow in confidence as you learn what it means to follow Jesus. Whether you’ve grown up in church or you’re just checking things out, you’re welcome to come along, just as you are.

Your first time?
New to WBY? You’re very welcome to join us any Wednesday during the school term. You can arrive from 6:30pm, and our friendly leaders will help you get settled, show you around, and introduce you to others so you feel at home.

Our Mission
At WBY our mission is to help young people grow as followers of Jesus by building strong friendships, learning from God’s Word, and discovering how to live out their faith in everyday life.
Our heart is to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive community where every young person knows they belong, is valued, and is invited to be part of what God is doing in their lives, their school, and their community.
We are passionate about seeing young people come to know Christ, grow in their faith, and be encouraged to live it out with confidence. Through weekly gatherings, fun activities, honest conversations about faith, and time spent together, we aim to equip students to show God’s love to others and grow as disciples who shine His light wherever they go.
